Gruen Hexagon - sold
All white gold filled 3-piece case measures 38mm by 30mm wide, not including crown. Back is stamped 707 27, which dates this to pre-1925 year of production, according to Mike Barnett's style number database. Case is in excellent condition, one small ding on back. Original dial is somewhat darkened, and is personalized with the original owner's name, "Julius G Ehnis" engraved into it. I have seen literally thousands of vintage watches over the years, but this is the first instance where the DIAL has been personalized! Movement is a grade 707, which is a 15 jewel Gruen Guild movement introduced in 1925, and I think this is year the watch was made, though it's just a hunch. Movement sets and runs to within 2 min/day. Sometimes you have to really press the crown in when you wind it to get the winding gear engaged. Crown is replacement. Band is a 16mm black genuine lizard. Really clean, pretty watch.
