Hamilton Norman w/grade 982 movement
Excellent all 14kt yellow gold filled case measures 35mm long lug to lug, by 24mm wide, not including crown. Back in initialed "MN". Older refinished dial. New replacement crown and glass crystal. 19-jewel grade 982 movement sets and winds perfectly, keeps time to within 2 min/day but not known when last serviced. New 14mm black leather band. The Norman was introduced in 1948 and was available through 1951. It was one of just a handful of gold filled watches to be fitted with Hamilton's best movement at the time, the grade 982. Normally, that movement was reserved for Hamilton's solid gold watches. The Norman is one of those watches that, while not particularly rare, is difficult to find in nice condition because the delicate lugs were often chewed up and/or badly brassed, especially if a metal band was used on the watch.
